Rough Cut producers have signed a distribution deal with Los Angeles, California based Indie-Pictures. Indie-Pictures has developed a model of distribution that caters to the independent filmmaker. According to their website their distribution plan challenges many of the assumptions about independent film distribution. It creates opportunities for independent films and filmmakers that did not exist until the companies inception. "It's for these reasons that Indie-Pictures is the perfect fit for Rough Cut," said Rough Cut Producer Sean Gaston. "When you look at their online catalogue and you see documentary titles like Murderball, March of the Penguins, Jesus Camp, and Capturing the Friedmans it would be an honor to have our film be included with such films," says Gaston. In preliminary conversations with Rough Cut's production team, Todd Taylor, CEO of Indie Pictures, said Rough Cut could see a DVD release this coming Spring. The date that is being floated is May 19, 2009. Please stay tuned to this blog for more information.
