Randi's Race and Rough Cut on CBS 21 News

Saturday, May 9th, was the fifth annual Randi's Race. Nancy Chavez, Randi's mother, came up with the idea for Randi's Race after her daughter was brutally murdered by Blaine Norris, a hitman and wannabe filmmaker, hired by her husband, Brian Trimble. Randi's Race is a 5K run/walk for hope and courage for people suffering from domestic violence. Rough Cut director, Todd Klick, and producer Sean D. Gaston were there for the first Randi's Race 5 years ago. Since then Randi's Race has raised $145,000.00 for domestic violence charities in Perry and Cumberland Counties. The race on Saturday raised $35,000.00 alone. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the Rough Cut DVD's will be donated to these same domestic violence charities, in Randi's name. The CBS 21 News coverage of Saturday's Randi's Race is below. To see the story that was featured on the CBS 21 News website concerning the Rough Cut DVD release, click here.
